Blackberries

The least pleasant aspect of picking blackberries is the multiple scratches from the thorns.  A thornless variety, Navaho , grown in a fruit cage is starting to provide good fruit that are easy to pick.  During the dry weather the blackbirds are eating any fruit they can get.
