Summer School teaching Art Day #1

Blimey - how could I have so completely forgotten how exhausting teaching is!?! Started by meeting participants just after 8am, class ran 8.45 till 12.00 by which time I had more than accomplished my daily step target, and in this horrid heat and humidity, was utterly exhausted. The group varies from grade 6 to grade 11, so this is going to be a bit of a curriculum management challenge.  Set everything up for tomorrow, had a quick school lunch then went "home" and collapsed after a shower for about an hour and a half until I found the energy to go and sit in the garden with an early evening beer and admire the view. Zombie time followed, until  a ridiculously early night.
