Coming Up Heads

Another bright idea for Abstract Thursday that didn't quite work out before I got bored with it.

One definition of capricious: changing according to no discernible rules; unpredictable.

Like tossing a coin. Actually I realised that was probably a stupid idea as soon as I tried it, but spinning a coin produces the same unpredictability and can be photographed easliy. Five images from the 60 or so that I got, layered together with a bit of motion blur.

In other news it is very hot. I'm pleased with the air con unit that I got this week, though it is a bit noisy. I have discovered though that our smart meter is not so smart, the running costs that it displays are far lower than the real costs based on units used. About one unit for about an hour's running (with all the other usual stuff on as well) so about 27p. The smart meter indicated 14p.

Also we walked down to the post office this afternoon to post a birthday card. There were lots of people about but we were the only ones wearing hats. It was partly a rehearsal for Saturday. I made what now seems like a badly timed decision to buy tickets for the football, Cheltenham v Pompey. It is predicted to be 35°C on Saturday afternoon.

Two years ago it was 31°, about the same as today. We didn't seem to get so worked up about it then did we.
