Hello Deer

We had a good long walk along the 'New River' walk this afternoon. We took a picnic and managed to find a relatively sheltered spot to have it. The deer was resting very close to the path, but quickly shot off over the field as we approached. On the way home, it was resting there again, in the exact same spot.

The wind picked up and it was really pretty chilly. I took the new walking poles and found them quite easy to use, although the land round here is pretty flat so we shall see how I get on with more hilly terrain in due course.
