Day trippers

Wednesday 
We caught a train from Dalmeny to Aberdour  - via Inverkeithing, as there doesn't appear to be a direct train on that route anymore. Saw the funfair has arrived in south Queensferry. Also a big cruise ship moored in the bay. 
Enjoyed a peaceful walk down to Aberdour beach and sat enjoying the view for a while. Headed along to the harbour, and as the tide was lowish, we were able to use the stepping stones to hop across the stream. The path round the harbour bay must have been closed for at least two years. 
We continued around the headland to silversands beach which was already very busy. Sat and had an ice cream while Dennis had his flask of tea. Paddled in the sea - freezing!
