Up!

We made a decision to have a walk round our new local area and headed off to New Abbey where quite a few walks are centred. Our target was not going up Criffel (that would be a full 4/5 climb) but getting up its next door neighbour Knockendoch was a bit more realistic and we got up most of the way but the cool wind was chilling and we turned round a bit before the summit. Great views from up there and you can just make out the Waterloo Monument over on the left of the image, it quite a prominent landmark in these parts.
