the aire
We've not seen much of the sun today, but 8yo and I managed a small excursion down to the River Aire and back. This gave me my first site of the developments on the Buck Lane fields, where a science park is being constructed despite considerable local objection. It's looking at its worst at the moment, as the diggers scrape away all the earth and grub hedgerows. We'll have to see whether the birds and butterflies recolonise once the site is built - the Denso Marston Nature Reserve is immediately next door so there is some security for local ecology.
You've seen the Green Bridge before.
Many thanks for the warm reaction to the last two images - a bit of sunshine helped.
