Going, going ….

I went to visit a friend today who has a smallholding in an idyllic spot. It was looking especially fine today with the heather in bloom and the sky a radiant blue. Just one blot on the landscape is this enormous pylon just behind her property, but the good news is than this and the other pylons along the valley are being taken down and the National Grid are putting the cabling underground and running them below the Pennines through a disused railway tunnel.
