5am alarm for leaving at 6 and the ferry at 7:25, earlier than we needed to be but expected a big queue - we were first. A day in Fort William food shopping and Cannon getting his tyres changed by a mobile service guy. We met him on the Highland Soap shop car park so that S and I could walk Jess by the river. It’s a lovely spot, I took this blip on the bridge which runs parallel to another bridge for the railway. We really hoped to see the Jacobite on the bridge but only saw the steam from a distance and smelt the coal. Steam trains were a big part of both mine and Cannon’s childhood as we grew up by the Severn Valley Railway so they are very nostalgic. A lucky day of ferries where we drove straight onto the Corran both ways and despite being in the second line of the queue for Fishnish, we got on that one very quickly too.
