Garden bounty

We had some neighbours over for coffee and scones today. At least, it was meant to be coffee and scones in the morning, but one of my neighbours had to work so we made it the afternoon between 2-4pm instead.

It was roasting! We sat outside n the sun/shade, depending on the level of sun exposure desired. No-one wanted coffee so I didn’t like to admit I’d make the scones ‘specially. They’re now all in the freezer! We had iced water and ice lollies and then a glass of Prosecco. Then more water! I felt like a terrible host.

However the flowers that I’d picked from the garden were lovely. I’ve just brought them inside to the kitchen.

It’s tricksy, this hospitality lark.
