Waiting

I got the news I didn’t want. The wound is infected and I have to have the new hip cleaned.

Having sat in Urgencias for four hours, things started to move. I’ve had X ray, PCR, ECG and blood tests.

Now I’m waiting to go upstairs to a ward. Apparently they want to operate tonight, so there seems to be some urgency about it.

Some people have been here for seven hours so I can’t really complain.

P.S. I’ve now been here over eight hours and still not got to the ward.
