A Delivery

MK this morning where I bought a new hairdryer to replace the travel one that JJ used to take with him back in the 80s or 90s.  I have no idea when my last real one died, but his has finally given up the ghost, although he hasn't needed it for thirty years.  He bought himself a couple of items and had his free cake at John Lewis.

Bumped into one set of friends that we took out on Monday.  They were supposed to be child minding but the little one isn't very well and our friend can't do to pick up another bad illness, as she hasn't fully recovered from her chest infection and blocked ears.

Great excitement this afternoon when a large crane backed down the road, followed by a flatbed truck with a jacuzzi on the back.  It was scary watching them lift it over the next door but one's house to drop into their back garden.  The flatbed truck driver then managed to back into the pillar between our garage and the drive next door, on the other side.  Minor damage but the coping stones will need replacing.  We've learned to keep one half of our drive gates closed when we're in due to having one of our gate posts hit on several occasions. (There's about sixteen feet between the gate posts.)
