Starling & Coconut
I have to secure this suet and mealworm-filled coconut to a tree in my garden with wire so that it doesn't get stolen by my squirrel. It's supposed to be there to attract cute wee blue tits, but recently it's been more popular with starlings, which are also welcome. This one had just beaten off another starling to gain ownership of the coconut, and he was letting everyone know it. I used a Nikon D300s set to 1/1250 second and f5.3 to isolate the bird from the background, and ISO 800.
