Stick em up Punk

Once again that North Berwick place is hosting a “Fringe by the Sea” so we had to go and take it in, being Edinburgers. Mingling amongst the ex-pat Edinburgers with their loverly big homes. By ‘eck it was blowy at the front. Sand whipped we were. We retired to have ice creams in the lodge gardens beside the aviary. And then retired further to have a beer. And then to the main event - The Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers. Of course, not being much of a reader of crime fiction I’d not heard of Mark Billingham, Luca Veste or Stuart Neville. Though I was well aware of our Val McDermid, Chris Brookmyre and Doug Johnstone. Parochial me. They put on a pretty entertaining show and Stuart Neville at least can play a guitar. And Mark Billingham can strangle his vocals every bit as well as Elvis Costello.
