UK-grown melon

When I decided to chance growing melons again, little did I know that this year, I may actually be successful...

My 'Mangomel' melon plant, which I cleverly planted by the compost heap (I've tried growing cucurbits in the heap before but they always get decimated) to make sure it had easy access to rich soil and moisture, has produced lots of little fruit.

If the weather continues to be hot, this might be the first year I don't end up giving all my tiny melons to my friend's Guinea pigs!
