Cherry Blossom Girl

Today was mean to be all about magnolia's. I knew my favourite tree at the Botanics would likely be in full bloom today, so off we set.

It was and it was breathtaking - just stunning, as you can see here. And it will be gone in a few days...a beauty that fills you with joy and sadness at the same time.

But sitting having a coffee, next to one of my other favourite trees at the Botanics, I spotted this shot. I suspected at the time it was going to be "the" shot, and when it got to the editing stage, it was the clear winner. Cherry blossom girl stole my photographers heart.
