Joey

......... I spotted him wandering merrily around the cul de sac ( had to do a double take to believe my eyes). By the time I had found a box to put him in he had wandered under someone’s car and decided to have a rest, so I had to knock on their door for help. Their teenage son managed to reach him and it turned out he’s a known escapologist who belongs to someone who lives along an off-shoot of the cul de sac, so he was thankfully returned unharmed. Good job the neighbour knew where he was from as I don’t know the first thing about looking after tortoises ;-))

Suffering with the heat and worse to come - not looking forward to the next few days :-(((
