I had to stay in today waiting for a plumber to come and fix a leak which we  had coming from our bathroom. It was an  ‘all day call out’  but fortunately they came at lunchtime and sorted the problem out fairly swiftly. So this afternoon I walked up to the Community Gardens in the village to meet my daughter-in-law and eldest granddaughter. The gardens were looking lovely as always with so much colour at the moment although I did notice that Humphrey will soon be in need of a hair cut!

After that we all walked back down to our house for an iced coffee in the garden (ice-cream and fruit for Penny) then I walked most of the way back to their house with them to get some more steps in before going up towards the village again and back home.

The extra is the latest bowl of Mirabelle plums picked from our tree.
