The last petal

Only one pink petal on the larger pink zinnia but lots of tiny flowers around the seed head.

I did another cutting from the zinnias but only those that I saw were making new flower buds. About 15 flowers in the vase on the window sill. Maybe they will last another month. I have a huge bowl full of the drying seed heads so next summer I will have many more flowers. I hope! They do seem to love the heat and dryness of our summers.
