Summer afternoon in the garden

Reading in the shade this afternoon I was briefly distracted by this busy bee. We are pacing ourselves for another burst of extreme heat.

Unrelated, our dishwasher has failed and an engineer arrived promptly at 0730 and a new heating unit is now on order.

Before it got too hot I went for a bike ride with our local grandchildren. The 7 year old has promoted himself to pole position … not that we were racing you understand!!
