Hot, hot, hot and absolutely parched. In some ways it's starting to look like Turkey or Greece, not rural Hampshire, when did it last rain??

First day of working with the hosepipe ban, doesn't make any difference here, I very rarely use a hosepipe but the customers do so I'll be hauling buckets around to put into different storage containers so they can use cans without having to walk back and forth.

The extra was an early morning breakfast call for the bee on a Cardoon. 

Started at 7.30am but have been arranging 7am starts for the rest of the week.

Finished off the huge hedge at the side of the property then retired to the shade for some path weeding. 

Back home I planted my new Californian Glory and the bargain Monarda purchased at the weekend.
