Feathering the nest

Dog fur gets everywhere in our house, it's surprising that Logan isn't bald with the amount of fur he sheds, he doesn't just shed it in the house though, he also scatters it around the garden when he rolls on the grass, this in turn is collected by the local birds, they must all be busy, building their nests and clearly a lining of golden retriever fur will increase the comfort level.

This blue tit hopped through my herb garden until he was almost at the kitchen door with his beak full of fur, whilst I was sat as still as I could manage next to the door, praying the dumb dog wouldn't chooose that moment to demand fuss!

It's a beautiful day today, blue skies and sunshine, shame it's about 10 degrees too cool!
