Silvereyes & apples

Had a coffee catchup with K today - it's been a while but it was lovely to have see her.  It was also lovely to have a look around their super-duper new motorhome that they had to wait an extraordinarily long time to finally be able to drive onto their driveway.  It's utterly gorgeous - modern, new, shiny, lots of great bells and whistles.......I'm sure they're going to love their new mobile holidaying.

It's been quite a cold day - the cold apparently embracing the whole South Island over the new couple of days.  Parts of the south have had more snow and the 4 main alpine passes were on snow alert this afternoon.  

Whilst this pic looks like I'm feeding the birds old apple, it's actually taken them about 4 days to make inroads into it.   They did however very quickly demolish the banana and pear I out out for them today.  The quick ones get the good fruit; the slow ones get what's left over.  That's life isn't it....?
