K & C's wedding today and what a lovely day it turned out to be after a dubious start.

I love that in New Zealand (though, to be fair, I don't really know much about anywhere else) people can get married just about where they like - at home, on the beach, at the top of a mountain, in the park . . . . almost anything is possible. So, being outdoorsy types, I wasn't at all surprised when K & C had an outdoor wedding at a beautiful local park.

Fortunately the masses of water from a few days ago had drained away leaving a beautiful, lush carpet of green and a park of autumn colours. P here added her own special trail of white petals to the brides pathway as she walked out to greet friends and family as Mrs W.

Congratulations K & C - Mr & Mrs W (though I think you'll always be "D" to us!). The beginning of a whole new chapter in your lives :)
