The Swing Concert

The Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are sponsoring a four concert series on the bandstand this summer. The first one today featured the South London Jazz Orchestra. 

They were brilliant and got us all dancing, after lessons from teacher Simon - see extra. They played a selection of swing classics from the big bands of the mid century American era. The trees shaded us and an ice cream van stood by. 

What a great afternoon.
