When J confessed that in all the years she has lived here she has never once set foot inside the castle, that was our morning entertainment decided, and what a glorious day for it! Last time I toured the castle was over 50 years ago with my primary school class, I don't suppose it has changed all that much in the ensuing years.
Then lunch, then live music, and then the long trek back to Bedford tired but happy.
