Timeless .

There is something timeless about a field of cut grass , we caught the scent of it as we walked past on our evening stroll.

The bulk of the day was spent making soup and a traditional Spanish chickpea stew , clearing out one more cupboard and working on the pen . More wood has been cut into small logs , the banking alongside the hedge has been cleared of the mass of vegetation which was choking the plants that we want to grow there and two new compost areas sorted out . The soil is very poor and the level of light is low . We are on a mission to increase the amount of light that gets through , made tricky because the surrounding trees have TPO’s and increasing the amount of organic matter in the soil .
