Bug on Knapweed

It's been a day of bottoming the study, doing some serious clearing and cleaning which will last for another five years or so!!

I set out early to the allotment to pick some plums before the wasps arrived to get drunk on the fallen, ripe ones.  I collected two bowlfuls before beating a hasty retreat, froze two trays' worth and dished bags of plums out to neighbours.  Friend Helen has sent a photo of the plum cobbler made for tea by husband Mike so I may have to make the same tomorrow.

We are enjoying the final evening of the athletics from Birmingham, what a great show they have put on the last ten days of so.  Well done to Laura Muir who has just won the 1500m and to Ailish McColgan winning silver in the 5000m.
