"A lovely day for a ride"...

...On the old paddle-steamer " MELBOURNE" - 100 years old - and she still looks like a young thing, ofcourse having had some costume changes now and then, but she was sparkling today on the river, and you can see the smoke from the boiler gently wafting into the breeze..

...I've blipped the paddle-steamer before a few times, but today it was a lovely day once again - down by the river Murray...in fact, it always seems a lovely day here, and especially at this time of the year..

...We met some tourists wandering around and they told me they hadn't been on the paddle- steamer for 40 years, but were going on it tomorrow, for sure..

They came from the Coast and had been here over a week and the lady said to me she couldn't get over what beautiful weather they'd had whilst here, they couldn't believe it when I told them most days are like this - we awaken to the birds and the sunshine - and as you can see - it has certainly been a lovely day...
