The Pudseys

A beautiful day for our Walking Club Barbecue/ Garden Party.
After two years of Covid we had a record turnout of 30 - 40 members.
These events are so important for the club as we meet up with older members, some over 90, who don’t walk anymore but were stalwarts years ago.
They would go up into the Dales at the weekend. Many on motorbikes and sidecars. Think nothing of of walking over 20 miles and then back home. Although sometimes camped out overnight.

Chris’s garden was looking absolutely beautiful as always. Now into her mid to late 80s she still does most of the work herself. Including the lawns and hedges.
The hanging baskets of begonias were stunning. She does them all herself. Keeping the corms from one year to the next.

Food delicious. All provided by the members.
Polly dog sat patiently waiting for titbits.

So back home now, and enjoying a cuppa.
Certainly won’t want any more food.
