A view from Spring Woods.
The Feast Day of St. Cajetan.
19th Week in the Universal Church calendar.
This view looks in the direction of Longridge from the high point in the woodland. Stoneyhurst College is not really visible but nestled in the distant trees.
We had a warmer day, 22c with higher humidity, so we decided on a walk in Spring Woods near Great Harwood. In Spring time, it is carpeted with fragrant bluebells and wild garlic. Today we were fortunate to get a parking space and it is pay by donation, so well worth it.
The main trees are beech, pine, birch and oak.
We did the uphill part first and then the gentler path coming down again.
The woodland is well maintained by a group of Friends of Spring Woods and the pathways are wheelchair friendly.
Maria has gone home to Leeds now on the train from Accrington and I miss her, but we did enjoy our weekend together.
Thanks for visiting today blip friends.
