In search of essentials

I needed an avocado for a recipe today but the local coop didn’t have them. I went down to Woodfield Stores and asked about avocados. “Hummus and avocados are the staple here”, replied the store owner. Having only ever shopped there before for croissants or the Guardian, I feel like I walked right into that stereotype.
