The ups & downs of random plant purchases?
I often buy a plant because it's emulating a Sparrow i.e. "Going Cheap"  ;¬)  
Or because I want it, preferably at not much cost. 

The "UP"  side  -  Cheap(er) plants.
The "DOWN" side - Many found in Supermarkets &/or Garden centres tend to be either mislabelled like this  or insufficiently/inaccurately labelled, like today's.

I "Gnu" it was a "Ping" - just not which one; some being tropical or semi-so.

(If you haven't hear Flanders & Swann singing the Gnu song - look it up for a chuckle.)

This one is, evidently, NOT Brit-hardy, must ask the Group.

It's gone down the nick - somewhat?
