Hebe

While on holiday, I came across a small shrub with gorgeous pink flowers. Looking at the name tag, I discovered that it was called Hebe which I know is attractive to bees. We bought a small starter plant (pictured) at Marigold Cottage yesterday.

Weary after the longish drive home, I merely plonked it on the patio table to take a photo. Must go and find a biggish pot for it now so it can find a home on the front.

Hebe is also the name of the Greek goddess of youth who was cup bearer to the gods. She served them ambrosia, the eternal elexir of youth.
