Otira Rainbow

There is no place in New Zealand quite like Otira. The annual rainfall is around 3 metres per year and the rain days out number the non rain days by a country mile.

This is a typical rain forest in these parts and the Rainbow was a bonus as to have a rainbow, first you must have sunshine and second you need rain.

I have driven this road many times over the years in both trucks and cars and think it is one of the best drives in New Zealand. A must for anyone looking for something close to Nature and rugged mountains.
