Money

Surprises show up when least expected, if they didn't they wouldn't be surprises I expect.
My former partner in life for eighteen years, Catharina showed up for a coffee today with her new man. It's not as dramatic as it could have been, we separated for six years ago and has kept in contact with each other, not all relations end in misery. It was the first time I met her new partner though, which I had no problem with but I knew he was nervous about meeting me. We did have a quite nice afternoon together and I felt particularly happy that he could relax without expecting me to be nasty to him in any way.

We left my place together, they went for a meal somewhere and I went to a free concert at the Folk high school not far away from here. Every year since fifteen years ago, my former colleague Thomas, and a few other leaders, has been leading a singing course for a week, often finished with a concert for whoever wants to come. This year the concert ended with a musical scene from "Cabaret" where the grown ups and their kids performed, among other songs, "Money" absolutely brilliantly.
