Procession of the Species

Every year at this time the Procession of the Species parade is held in Olympia, WA. It is very much a family and community event and is always fun to watch. No floats are allowed, everything must be people-powered and homemade. A lot of kids and teens participate, along with groups of dancers and musicians. This giraffe was the highlight for me, so well-designed and life-like. Lovely.
