Messing about on the river

No.1 and JC home for the weekend and wfh today.  OH played golf and I went to the gym and did an hour of gardening although it was a bit too hot. Everything is very dry and turning brown, and I usually lose interest in the garden in August as there’s nothing much to do (except harvest tomatoes).

After a shower I was a bit fidgety and No.2 joined me for a quick trip to M&S to get a few bits for BBQ tomorrow.  Sat in the garden for a bit relaxing  then they packed up working a bit early and took the paddle boards down to the river.  We met up with them a bit later with cold beers.  I declined a turn but was happy to watch - it certainly looks relaxing.

Late dinner and I fell asleep in the chair.
