Missing old friends

I am now ending the 1st month of my new life in Vancouver, Canada. Very different from life in Tokyo! I had forgotten how much I missed the easy access to nature which is possible here in Vancouver. It is something that my wife is also really enjoying!
Today we went to Capilano Regional Park to the salmon hatchery and enjoyed a nice time looking at and learning about the 5 different species of salmon that live here.

Today's photo is of a group of skunk cabbage growing wild in the ever-wet forests of Vancouver. They do not call this a temperate rainforest for nothing lol!
