Sally Mair - Loving life

Pots and pots !

How can it be Friday again today?
This morning was sunny, not as hot as it was a couple of weeks ago but still in the high teens. I spent a couple of hopes in the garden, dead heading and generally tidying. There's lots of colour arbour just now, particularly punks and purples.
I'm pleased with my pots which are very disorganised with no two the same. These square pots from B&M bargains were very cheep but look very pretty planted up.
My sweet peas are improving but nothing like as good as usual, my runner beans continue to develop, we are going have a huge crop! I'm disappointed with my courgettes though which have blossom end rot. I think inconsistent watering is to blame. First we were away, then I had my broken wrist then I picked up covid. Too long a period of inattention I fear.
Ali Stuart and Josie popped in at 5pm. Lovely to see them looking so well after their holiday. Josie is beginning to stand unaided!
I went across to Straiton to meet up with A Cursillo friend who was on her way from the Borders to Stirling and had a banner to pass on to me. We timed it very well and arrived within two minutes of each other. I popped into Costco on the way and picked up some cheap petrol, always welcome these days. Nice to have my polo back after its trip to Winchester with Ali.
