Day 14 Budapest - Home
We had a lovely last evening in Budapest. A delicious Lebanese meal and a few beers. We were home early and both quite tired after a full day of sightseeing.
This morning, We were awake early - 5 ish, so we got up finished packing, breakfast etc and left the apartment. We had a 13 mile ride to the airport and I would rather leave early and have loads of time and sit around the airport than rush and get stressed. We hit every red light in the city, and then wound our way through the suburbs. At one crossing, I saw this sign and it made me chuckle. We had a hairy mile or so on a very busy dual carriageway then found a tough path alongside the road - far better.
The bikes packed and handed over we had a final beer before boarding. Flights are all delayed because they are not flying over Ukraine, but once landed there was a slick reassembling of bikes and we got the train home. Messaging Fu, we ordered a take away to share once home to celebrate his birthday. What a fantastic holiday we have had.
