Just a quick emergency blip from the garden. 

I worked all morning, and then met my mother and her carers for lunch and coffee.

Everyone was tired and still feeling exhausted from the heat and an almost sleepless night. In spite of a short thunderstorm in the early hours, it never got cooler than 26 degrees C.

The 4 mm of rain brought the garden a short respite, but won’t be enough to fill the rivers, which will soon be to low for any cargo ships to use. There’s no more rain in the forecast for  next week at least.
