Habanero
I grow chillies every year. My normal choice is Apache - prolific plants, hot fruit and above all reliable. Last year I tried a habanero plant. It did nothing; a couple of flowers that dropped off and masses of foliage. No fruit.
I was going to compost it last autumn but gave it a last minute reprieve and let it over-winter in a sunny indoor spot.
This spring I gave the plant a good talking to and put the pot outside against a sunny wall, and... it is finally producing! This tiny fruit (smaller than a pea) may look a bit underwhelming but it's one of many and they are swelling up fast. Looking forward to sampling them if progress continues.
