Widdop Reservoir
Widdop Reservoir sits in a remote and beautiful area of moorland between Hebden Bridge and Burnley.
Widdop Reservoir built between 1871 and 1878 was the first reservoir to be built on the moors above Heptonstall to supply drinking water for the people of Halifax, with a capacity of nearly 3000 million litres it's also the largest reservoir.
