Up with the lark
It turns out that Lady V is an early riser and she was off to work before both sides of my brain had woken up.
In a stroke of luck, whichever side it is that enables brew making had at least shown a few flickers of life and I was able to get some beverages made with which to start the day, before she headed out the door.
The early start enabled me to catch up on your blip activity (yes, you) and there’s been some absolutely corking photos taken over the past few days. I bloody love this site, and it just goes to show what can happen when you actually take a “proper” camera out every once in a while!!
I resolved to do just this on an evening walk after Lady V had returned back to my place to be fed AGAIN (clearly a glutton for punishment). Never let it be said that I don’t know how to show a girl a good time as I escorted her on a walk up to Kendal Castle via the cemetery.
In my defence, we were trying and just about succeeding to catch the sunset from the castle, an1d were able to make sufficient progress up the hill to catch the light breaking through the trees here.
Another odd day at work, but a lovely finish at home - I was even able to catch the end of a tight game of The Hundred, which is tremendous fun!
