Van Gogh

Katie and I were out and about early today. We went for a pasture walk briefly. We had a meeting in Leeds first thing so headed off there. We came back, packed up and were picked up by friends to go (back down the road we'd just returned by!) into York. We had a picnic by Clifford's tower, the girls had a carousel ride and then we went to the immersive Van Gogh! It wasn't as I expected, we thought we were seeing the same one friends saw in Manchester, but it definitely wasn't. But it was still special. I didn't like the virtual reality headset part though! After the exhibition we walked to the shambles to the Shop That Must Not Be Named. Katie now has a substantial "things I want to save for" list. She also tried some delicious tea from a shop across the road... But then was very much DONE with summer holiday York. It was lovely to have some time out though.
