Acorn Woodpeckers

I saw quite a few of these, they seem to be the most common woodpecker in the area. This pair was at a nest-hole less than two metres up a tree, the lowest I have ever seen. It was also right by a car-park. Shot in Del Valle State Park. Other birds seen- western grebes, my first ever pied-billed grebe  etc. and a flame skimmer dragonfly (extra)
