Evening Rain in Nice, France
We arrived in Nice late last night, and didn't get an early start as the Mistress is sick, However, we managed to get away just after 9, and walked to the train station, stopping at every boulangerie to look at the pastries on the way. After buying a few, we ate them while waiting for the train to Antibes. Actually the Mistress and her daughter ate them, I just got the crumbs spilt all over me!
Explored the old town of Antibes - was hoping to go to the Picasso Museum but unfortunately it was closed. Wandered through a fascinating market full of yummy food - and in particular the sun dried tomatoes were to die for. It was obvious through the smacking of lips and groans of pleasure from the Mistress when she tried some!
Back to the train station and caught the train to Cannes. Wandered around the shore front and saw the famous theatre with the red carpet, before heading up to an old castle on the hill. Stopped and had a beer in a pub, then headed back to the train station through the shopping district.
Caught the train back to Nice, then wandered down to the Old Town for dinner. On our walk back it had been raining so made for some great night photography. The Mistress left her tripod in Amsterdam - so this was all handheld.
