Looking closely...

Much of today was spent in a rather deprived Stamford housing estate with KP sorting out a route for a walk that we'll be leading in September. The aim of the walk is to connect residents with the nature that exists in their own area, and to hopefully encourage them to value what's on their doorstep. The project links both art and science in the hope of capturing residents' imaginations. We hope to provide participants with a hand lens or magnifying glass to encourage them to look very closely at their environment  - today we spent quite a lot of time peering at tree trunks!
