Connections

I’m a keen genealogist and Mr H’s great grandma was from a family of wherrymen from Norfolk. Today we went looking for the places they lived in 1841-1901. All I can say is it must have been a huge shock when they ended up in South Shields!

However I’d never realised quite how close their origins were to RAF Coltishall which was where my dad did a lot of his National Service.

A faciniating morning but we decided to go to Cromer for the afternoon in the hope it was cooler by the beach. Wandering around the town , checking there were none of our family names on the war memorial, I turned round to see one of our neighbours from home! They thought they’d seen Mr H and realised it must have been him when they spotted me and Reggie!

Proof if it was ever needed that it is a small world and we are all inter connected.
